Calvary Chapel Kampala

Martin Balmoa

Hello, my name is Martin. I am a missionary to Northern Uganda. I have been trained by Far Reaching Ministries Chaplaincy Corps in 1999. Now I am serving in Kitgum. My wife is Susan. We have four children, three are our own and one we have adopted.

My passion is to help people around Kitgum spiritually and physically.

Erica Fye

My name is Erica. I am currently serving in Kitgum, Northern Uganda, ministering to women and children who have been affected by war, poverty and hopelessness. My primary objective is to follow God’s commission to make disciples, to raise up God-fearing Ugandans to minister to others and claim this broken land for the Lord.

My passion is to glorify God, to serve Him and to serve the people of Uganda- to be poured out as a living sacrifice unto my King; to watch God heal the broken and restore those whose safety and joy have been robbed away.

I pray that one day I will say, with Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Tim. 4:7)

The Kelly Family

Since March of 2002 Brian and Lynne have been ministering in Kampala—Uganda’s capital city. God has used them to establish Calvary Chapel Kampala, of which Brian is the senior pastor. Over seven hundred people visit the church each week, and it continues to grow. There are now three Sunday morning services, a mid-week Bible Study on Wednesdays, and daily Bible College classes. Brian and Lynne were married in 1999 after meeting at Calvary Chapel Bible College. Their son Judah was born a year later. Julia and Liana, Brian and Lynne’s two daughters, were both born in Uganda. Uganda has a special place in their hearts; it is the country they now call home.

Our passion is to make disciples of all nations, starting with Uganda. Therefore, our passion is the church, and the people that God has brought to us to teach and equip with His Word.

Josh and Natalie Carlson

Josh helped start Calvary Chapel Kampala in Uganda during 2002 and has served as associate pastor since. Natalie arrived in Uganda that same year with Oasis to set up the training centre at the Bambejja Project (an organization educating marginalized girls). We met that same year and were joyfully married in 2005. Natalie currently leads the spiritual development course at the Bambejja Project and is an instructor at Calvary Chapel Bible College Uganda. As well as pastoring at Calvary Chapel, Josh serves as the director of their extension campus. We enjoy teaching and serving the men and women at the church and college.

Our passion is to glorify God by enjoying Him. We love living and making disciples in Kampala, Uganda.

The Calhoon Family

Doug (29yrs) & Destiny (24yrs) Calhoon- we have been serving in Uganda-East Africa, since March 2003. Our first year in Uganda was spent serving at CC Kampala. Doug taught 2 classes at the Bible College and Destiny oversaw the Children's ministry program.

Our last 3 1/2 years have been spent ministering in Fort Portal- 3 hours west of Kampala. In January 2005 we planted Calvary Chapel Fort Portal. And in March 2005 we welcomed our first child into the world - Jotham Taylor- born 2 months premature. We are anticipating the arrival of our second child in April 2008! We have been married since November 2001 and look forward to many more wonderful years of marriage and ministry.

Our passion is to make disciples and to serve and glorify God wherever He leads us. (Also another passion is Ice Cream and In & Out Burger!!)
